Symptoms

Some people may not realise they have wax. Wax only becomes a problem when it becomes compact and begins to affect the hearing. Some issues that may arise are: 

• Muffled Hearing or hearing loss
• Tinitus or ringing in the ears- If you experience any sudden onset tinitus, please dial 999 or go directly to A&E
• Dizziness or feeling 'off balance'
• A feeling of fullness in the ear canal
• Itchiness or irritation within the ear
• Infection or odour
• Pain within the ear
