If you are able, we highly recommend the use of olive oil ear drops in the days leading up to your appointment. This softens the wax and makes the process much easier.

Please also ensure you have filled out the consent form which will be sent to you upon booking.

We will make every effort to ensure as comfortable experience as possible for you. Removal of ear wax should never hurt! If at any point you don't feel comfortable, we will stop and discuss our next steps.

There are a few factors which do not allow for the use of water based removal, which is used during irrigation, such as infections, gromets, cleft lip and previous surgeries. This will become apparent on completion of your consent form. 

If we are able to use either method, the wax may determine which is best suited; however, if there is a method which you are more comfortable with, then we are more than happy to facilitate.

Currently, I will only remove wax from those aged 16 years and over.
